    How thick is it (guage)?

Would it work for a countertop/work surface? I'm ok with minor scratches and dents (but not cracks).

When oven door is left open to broil, it abuts cabinet with thermoplastic doors [NOT wood doors] which will damage with heat. Will this panel protect it?

I asked this question before re the stainless steel backsplash, and your answer was it was metal and would conduct heat, so not a good idea for this purpose. Is this also true of the white/beige backsplash, is it metal too?

Thank you for your question on the back splash panels. All of the panels are made from metal and will conduct heat.
