    Thank you for your question on the model 356BK attic fan. The normal recommended thermostat setting for the 356BK would be 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

    The 356BK powered attic ventilator is controlled by a thermostat so that they it will turn on when the attic gets hot. To be effective a temperature and humidly control pull outside air into the attic and exhaust the attic air. Our model 73 is a high temperature cut-off control and Model DH100W is a Humidistat Control.

    Multiple Fan Speed Control

    Can this fan be used with an external multiple fan speed control? How much speed flexibility does the motor have? I would like to be able to run the fan at different speeds depending on the relationship between attic temperature/humidity and external temperature/humidity.

    Thank you for the question on the 353 attic ventilator. This unit can be controlled by a solid state speed control (our model 72W). At low speed it would run at approximately ½ speed.

    Thank you for your question. The motor for the 355BK does not need to be oiled. It is thermally protected and permanently lubricated.
