- Quiet 0.8 sones at Normal speed and only 5.0 sones at High speed, allows you to clear out cooking smoke and unwanted smells without disturbing the peace in your kitchen
- 110 CFM at normal speed and 300 CFM at high speed provides the power you need to clear smoke and odors at the touch of a 2-speed rocker switch
- Four 35W Halogen MR16/GU10 lamps provide focused lighting over and around the cooktop with 2-levels of brightness (bulbs not included)
- Full filter design has an antimicrobial coating to inhibit the formation of odor-producing bacteria. Filters are dishwasher-safe to give you the confidence your kitchen will always smell fresh

The only thing I don't like is that the knobs are hard to turn on and off and we have already had to replace them. Also, the fan is really noisy. The charcoal filters work but aren't easy to find. This replacement was due to an update of all appliances in our kitchen and not a result of dissatifaction. We enjoy the beauty of this stainless steel appliance, the lighting effects presented on our stove top and the relative quite of thje exhaust fan. Thank you for the question on the QP130SS range hood. It is always recommended that range hoods get vented outside, so the odors, smoke and steam leave the house. If you cannot vent outside, using this hood with the non-ducted charcoal filter will help reduce the cooking odors from filling the house. This hood also has an air curtain feature that blows some of the air downwards from the front of the hood to keep the smoke, steam and odors underneath the hood to be vented through the filters. This can distort the gas flames when cooking.

I have found 3 options all with similar Item numbers:
BPPF30 non-ducted replacement filters 2 pack $15
Clean Sense BPPF30 - 1 filter - $20
Clean Sense BPPF306PK - 6 filters - $101

Do I need the 2 pack for $15 or 2 of the 1 pack for $40 or both?

Thank you for your question on the QP130SS range hood. This hood requires two non-duct filters. They are available to you on our website as a replacement part 99010353 which comes as two. It is also available in the stores as the BPPF30 in a six pack. Clean Sense is a trade mark name for these filters.

Problems over a gas/flame range

I Just had this fan installed for my 80 year old mother. Installation is 25" above gas/flame burners.
When the fan is on high, it continually blows a circulation of air down towards the cook-top..
When the cook top is on low flame, this air circulation completely blows out the burner flame, making it impossible to cook on low with the fan on high..
AND MOST CONCERNING - while cooking with the burner flame on high, fan on high, this continuous downward air flow blows the high flame down and under the cooking pot, directing the high flame horizontally towards whoever is cooking, creating a very serious personal fire hazard!

Is there any way to adjust this powerful downward air flow?
PLEASE ADVISE.

Thank you for the question on the QP136WW range hood. The air curtain is one of the features of this range hood. It helps keep the smoke and odors from coming out from under the hood and into the room. There is an Air Diversion Plate (part number SR6519811) that can be installed on this hood to lower the amount of air blowing downwards. You can contact our Customer Service Department at 800-558-1711 regarding this part.

I have the light switch that is out! can I replace just that switch?

the light switch wont turn off I had to disconect that switch from the back so the lights would not be on continuous and cause a hazard!

If you are on our web-site, click on the 'View Details', then click on the Installation instructions and go to page 4. You will need to purchase the charcoal filters, which simply click on to the back of the aluminum filters. Here are two ways to purchase the filters: model BPPF30 (price individually, but must purchase in standard packs of 6), or the individual model S99010353.
