The APE1 series is part of Broan's newest pro-style under-cabinet hood collection, uniting stylish appearance with tremendous value. The hood features concealed variable speed blower control, 42 watt florescent lighting for bright task lighting and 4 watt incondescent for night time lighting. The deep 9 in. height provides excellent capture of cooking grease and odor. Dishwasher-safe aluminum micromesh filters feature an antibacterial coating inhibits the growth of odor causing bacteria, keeping filter fresher between cleanings and looking new over repeated cleanings.

    Pull the tab on the light lens forward to remove the lens. Grasp the lamp at the lamp base, tilt lamp down and pull out to remove.
    Do not remove the bulb when hot.
    Use a 42 W fluorescent lamp, GX24Q-4 and tilt lamp up into position. For the night light, use a 4 W, C-7 bulb.
    Place front edge of light lens into slot. Push lens up and snap it into place.

    We are replacing a hood which has been mounted directly on the wall. There are no cabinets near the vent. can this product eb adapted or can you suggest another which would work?

    Thank you for your question on the APE130SS range hood. I’m sorry, but that hood is designed to be mounted underneath a cabinet. It is not meant to be mounted without the cabinet. Please contact our Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 and we can discuss the options for your specific installation.

    Thank you for your question on the model APE130SS range hood. The blower wheels are attached to the motor shaft with a set screw. You would need to loosen this set screw to remove the blower wheel.
